Mullvad has introduced GotaTun, a WireGuard VPN implementation in Rust.

The VPN provider Mullvad, which is developing the Mullvad Browser and providing infrastructure for the Mozilla VPN service, has introduced the GotaTun project that implements the WireGuard VPN protocol, written in Rust and operating in user space. The project's code is distributed under the BSD license. Mullvad has already utilized GotaTun in the VPN client for the Android platform and plans to transition its applications to it next year.
