The firmware Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 has been released, developed by the UBports project, which has taken over the development of the mobile platform Ubuntu Touch after Canonical stepped away from it. This is the first release of Ubuntu Touch based on the package base of Ubuntu 24.04. The project is also developing an experimental port of the Unity 8 desktop, which has been renamed Lomiri. The Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 update will be available soon.
