The release of the GE-Proton 9-5 project has been published, in which enthusiasts create Valve-independent extended builds of the Proton package to run Windows applications, featuring a newer version of Wine, utilizing FFmpeg in FAudio, and including additional patches that resolve issues in various gaming applications. Hydra — a free game launcher

Hydra is a game launcher that includes a built-in BitTorrent client and supports automatic tracking of new publications on all noteworthy sites with notifications of updates. Additionally, the launcher allows configuring download paths for content and displays the HLTB (How Long To Beat) metric for games. It is developed for the Electron platform using TypeScript and Python.

Release of EuroLinux 9.4 distribution, compatible with RHEL

The release of EuroLinux 9.4 has occurred, prepared by recompiling the source texts of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 distribution packages and is fully binary compatible with it. The changes include rebranding and removal of RHEL-specific packages; otherwise, the distribution is fully analogous to RHEL 9.4. The EuroLinux 9 branch will be supported until June 30, 2032. Installation images are prepared for download.

The gittuf project is developing a cryptographic protection system for Git repositories.

The release of the gittuf project version 0.4 is available, developing a hierarchical system for verifying the contents of Git repositories, allowing for the minimization of risks in situations where individual developers with access to the repository may be compromised. Gittuf provides an additional layer of security to Git and a set of tools for managing keys of all developers with access to the repository, as well as establishing access rules for branches, tags, and individual files.
