Nintendo has sent a request to GitHub to block 8535 repositories with forks of the Yuzu emulator. The request is based on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) currently in effect in the United States. The projects are accused of circumventing the protection technologies used in Nintendo Switch consoles. GitHub has now complied with Nintendo's request and has blocked the Yuzu fork repositories.

A vulnerability (CVE-2024-32962) has been discovered in the xml-crypto JavaScript library, which is used as a dependency in 402 projects and downloaded from the NPM registry about a million times each week. Oracle has released a corrective update for the VirtualBox virtualization system 7.0.18, which includes 3 fixes: A bug in the network components has been resolved, leading to a recommendation not to install VirtualBox version 7.0.16. The bug caused system crashes in the host environment when using virtual machines with bridge network settings or involving a network adapter working only on the host side.
