Changes have been integrated into the OBS Studio codebase, a package for streaming, compositing, and recording video, implementing support for WebRTC technology, which can be used instead of the RTMP protocol for streaming video without an intermediate server, allowing the content to be transmitted directly to the user's browser in a P2P manner. The WebRTC implementation is based on the use of the libdatachannel library, written in C++. In the current […]

The release of Nuitka 1.6 is now available, enhancing the compiler for translating scripts written in Python into C code, which can then be compiled into an executable file, using libpython to ensure maximum compatibility with CPython (standard CPython tools are used for object management). Full compatibility with current releases of Python 2.6, 2.7, and 3.3 – 3.11 is provided. Compared to […]
Barry Kauler, the founder of the Puppy Linux project, has released the EasyOS 5.4 distribution, combining Puppy Linux technologies with container isolation for running system components. The distribution is managed through a set of graphical configurators developed by the project. The size of the boot image is 860 MB. Features of the distribution include: Each application, as well as the desktop itself, can run in separate containers, ensuring isolation […]
Barracuda Networks has announced the need for a physical replacement of ESG (Email Security Gateway) devices affected by malware due to a 0-day vulnerability in the email attachment processing module. It is reported that previously released patches are insufficient to block the issue.
