Some computers in French government institutions are set to transition from Windows to Linux.

David Amiel, the Minister of Budget, Public Accounts, and Civil Administration of France, announced plans to migrate certain computers in government institutions from Windows to Linux. This migration is part of an initiative to ensure digital sovereignty and reduce dependence on non-European technology companies. Amiel emphasized that the French government can no longer tolerate relying on non-European technologies.
