Microsoft has declined to fix the zero-day vulnerability in Internet Explorer

On Friday, April 12, security specialist John Page published information about an unpatched vulnerability in the current version of Internet Explorer, as well as demonstrated its exploitation. This vulnerability could potentially allow an attacker to access the contents of local files of Windows systems' users, bypassing the browser's security system. The vulnerability lies in how Internet Explorer handles files in MHTML format, which typically have the extension.
