Sophos Company announced the release of the program's source code , designed for organizing isolated execution of applications on the Windows platform. Sandboxie allows you to run an untrusted application in an isolated sandbox environment, limited by a virtual disk that prevents access to data from other applications.
The project's development has been handed over to the community, which will coordinate further development of Sandboxie and maintain its infrastructure (instead of shutting down the project, Sophos decided to hand over development to the community, and the forum and old project website are scheduled to close this autumn).
