Undoubtedly, the number one premiere for the whole world today is the release of the movie 'Avengers: Endgame.' Google decided not to miss such an event and dedicated another doodle to it — a sort of 'Easter egg' on the search page.
If you enter the queries 'Thanos,' 'Infinity Gauntlet,' and so on in the Google search bar in Russian, English, and obviously other major languages, an icon of that very Gauntlet will appear on the right side of the search results, the snap of which wiped out half of all living beings in the universe.
If you click on the Gauntlet, some links from the search results will begin to disappear, disintegrating into dust with a characteristic sound. The number of results will be halved, just as in 'Infinity War.' The only difference is that this is just information. Naturally, this is merely an illusion; in reality, the data is not erased. Moreover, the deleted data can be restored immediately using the 'Time Stone' built into the Gauntlet.
Google did not specify how exactly this mechanism works; however, it seems to be more than just a fun 'Easter egg.' The 'disintegration' affects results that are spoilers to the film. Instead, a search for the keyword 'Thanos' is filled with news about the very 'Easter egg.'
Thus, this is a decent protection against spoilers if you're afraid of learning too much about the film before actually watching it. And, of course, it's an attempt by Google to capture some traffic on a popular topic. Quite a practical approach, I must say.
