The Pension Fund of Russia announced a tender “Improvement of the application and server software for the module 'Management of electronic signature and encryption' (PEP and SPEP) for operation with the Astra Linux and ALT Linux operating systems.” Within the framework of this government contract, the PFR will adapt part of its automated system AIS PFR-2 for operation with Russian Linux distributions: Astra and ALT.
Currently, the PFR uses Microsoft Windows on workstations and CentOS 7 on servers. In the past the PFR faced problems due to the mismatch of certification requirements for the operating systems used in the workplaces: the installed version of Windows did not have the necessary certification from FSTEC.
According to the state customer, the development and advancement of the software module 'Management of electronic signature and encryption' were carried out under contracts over various years with the companies 'Online', 'Information Security Agency', and 'Technoserv'.
To ensure the correct operation of the application software PEP on Russian operating systems, the contractor must implement a new cryptographic core to interact with certified cryptographic protection tools VipNet CSP for Linux version 4.2 and above, as well as 'CryptoPro CSP' under Unix/Linux family operating systems version 4.0 and above.
It is also necessary to make corrections to the program's source codes in a programming language that supports the building of executable files for Astra Linux and ALT Linux, adjust library call settings, change the call algorithm to launch alternative libraries or develop a custom implementation; if the implementation of dependencies is absent, create an interface implementation supported by Russian operating systems, implement plugin connections to the core and interactions, create a new installation distribution and more.
