After three years of development, the first test release of the minimalist Computer-Aided Design system CadZinho has been published. The project is being developed by an enthusiast from Brazil and aims to provide a tool for creating simple two-dimensional technical drawings. The code is written in C with additions in Lua and is distributed under the MIT license. Output is generated using the SDL 2.0 library and the OpenGL 3.2 API. Builds are available for Linux, Windows, and macOS.
The program supports drawing primitives such as lines, polygonal meshes, circles, arcs, ellipses, text, hatching, splines, block insertion, and attributes. In view-only mode, broken lines and dimension placement are supported. It works with DXF and SVG file formats. The result can be exported as a PDF.
