Vivo has unveiled the new V50 Lite 5G smartphone, which succeeds the recently announced 4G version. The device features a new processor with enhanced connectivity support while retaining key specifications, including a powerful 6500 mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
At the heart of the V50 Lite 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which replaces the Snapdragon 685 in the 4G model. The smartphone offers either 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no microSD card slot. The new processor not only supports 5G but also offers a more modern version of Bluetooth—5.4 instead of 5.0. As for Wi-Fi, the manufacturer did not specify the version, but according to The Vivo V50 Lite 5G features a 6.77-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 1080p resolution, and a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. An optical fingerprint scanner is located at the bottom of the screen, while the top houses a 32-megapixel front camera.
The main camera has also received significant updates. In particular, in addition to the 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor (1/2.0”), there is now an 8-megapixel wide-angle module. Recall that the 4G version used a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor instead. Below the cameras is the Aura Light illumination.
The smartphone's 6500 mAh battery, according to
Vivo, is capable of retaining at least 80% of its capacity even after 5 years of use, with a full charge lasting about 10 hours of gaming. Charging to 100% will take less than 53 minutes, while 50% will take just 23 minutes. The V50 Lite 5G is already available in Spain for €400 for the 12/512 GB version and is offered in Titanium Gold and Phantom Black (actually dark purple), as well as in Fantasy Purple (with a feather-like texture) and Silk Green (with a wavy texture).
