Microsoft has released a preview version of the Procmon utility.
Process Monitor (Procmon) is a port for Linux of the classic Procmon tool from the Sysinternals suite for Windows. Procmon offers developers a convenient and efficient way to track application system calls. The Linux version is based on a toolkit BPF, which allows for easy instrumentation of kernel calls.
The utility provides a user-friendly text interface with filtering and sorting options. Event logging to a file is also possible in non-interactive mode, allowing for later analysis.
