Daniel Robbins (drobbins) announced that he has decided to discontinue the Funtoo Linux project: "All Good Things Must Come to an End...".
In short:
- drobbins is tired;
- there is no new BDFL;
- he will not look for a successor or transfer the project;
- Funtoo Linux will exist in some form until the end of August.
An unpleasant but expected decision amid declining activity from Daniel.
It all started with the project’s Jira bug tracker being disabled a couple of days ago. Whether there was any drama in the bug tracker or Discord before that is unknown.
