The preliminary release of the Windowsfx 11 distribution is available, aimed at recreating the Windows 11 interface and Windows-specific visual effects. The environment is created using a specialized WxDesktop theme and additional applications. The build is based on Ubuntu 20.04 and KDE Plasma 5.22.5 desktop. An iso image of 4.3 GB has been prepared for download. The project is also developing a paid version that includes additional features that bring the environment closer to Windows, such as a configurator, a voice assistant, Active Directory support, and access to OneDrive.
The application suite is also designed to closely resemble Windows, offering users office suites like OnlyOffice and MS Office Online, the Edge browser, the MS Teams collaboration platform, Skype messenger, PowerShell command-line interface, and VS Code editor. The Helloa Assistant, based on Google Assistant, is used for processing voice commands. Wine is utilized to run .exe and .msi programs by double-clicking on the desktop.
