Quantum has announced the ActiveScale Z200 object storage system, designed for AI applications and tasks that involve intensive data exchange. With its flexible scalability, this new product is ideal for creating large data lakes. The ActiveScale Z200 is an all-flash solution. The device is in a 1RU form factor and can accommodate ten NVMe SSDs with a capacity of 15.36 TB each. Thus, the total capacity is 153.6 TB. It features two 10/25GbE network interfaces. Dimensions are 437 × 43 × 597 mm, with a weight of 13.02 kg.
