A developer from Red Hat named Hans de Goede introduced his project "Wayland Itches", aimed at stabilizing, fixing bugs, and addressing issues encountered while using Gnome on Wayland. The motivation behind this was his desire to use Fedora as his primary desktop distribution, but he currently has to constantly switch back to Xorg due to numerous minor problems.
Among the described issues:
- Problems with TopIcons extensions.
- Hotkeys and shortcuts not working in VirtualBox.
- Unstable performance of Firefox under Wayland.
He invites anyone experiencing issues while using Gnome on Wayland to send an email describing the problem, and he will try to resolve it.
