The release of Manjaro Linux 26.1 has been announced, built on the Arch Linux foundation and aimed at beginner users. The distribution is notable for its simplified and user-friendly installation process, support for hardware auto-detection, and installation of necessary drivers. Manjaro is available as live editions with graphical environments KDE (5.2 GB), GNOME (5 GB), and Xfce (4.9 GB), configured for the x86_64 architecture and various ARM-based processor boards. Community-driven editions with Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, LXQt, and i3 are also being developed.
Manjaro uses its own toolset, BoxIt, designed in the image of Git, for managing repositories. The repository operates on a rolling release principle, but new versions undergo an additional stabilization phase.
