Lime3DS version 2119 has been released. Lime3DS is a fork of the Citra emulator (the same people who developed Citra also created Yuzu), which was discontinued in March 2024. Lime3DS is a Nintendo 3DS emulator, natively available on Windows, Android, Linux, macOS, and chromeOS.
What's new:
- Initial support for Pretendo (similar to XLink Kai for multiplayer games on Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS) has been introduced.
- Full support for Android 15 has been added.
- A feature for configuring 'Small Screen Location' has been added.
- A bug that made Vulkan unavailable when using AppImage in a Wayland session has been fixed.
- The Vulkan renderer that caused crashes on devices not supporting Vulkan 1.3 has been corrected.
- The Lime3DS application now features an app icon and Material You theme. This is relevant for Google Pixel smartphones using vanilla Android.
- A major internal rebranding has taken place, replacing all mentions of Citra with Lime3DS.
- You can now choose from several preset color themes in the 'Themes' menu.
In addition to the above, various bugs have been fixed.
