Release of the minimalist distribution Alpine Linux 3.12

Took place release Alpine Linux 3.12, a minimalist distribution based on the system library Musl and a set of utilities BusyBox. The distribution is characterized by enhanced security requirements and is built with Stack Smashing Protection (SSP). OpenRC is used as the initialization system, and a proprietary package manager called apk is utilized for package management. Alpine is conducted for creating official Docker container images. Bootable ISO images (x86_64, x86, armhf, aarch64, armv7, ppc64le, s390x, mips64) are available in five versions: standard (130 MB), with a kernel without patches (140 MB), extended (500 MB), and for virtual machines (40 MB).

In the new release:

• Initial support for the mips64 (big endian) architecture has been added;
• Initial support for the programming language has been added D;
• Updated package versions: Linux kernel 5.4.43, GCC 9.3.0, LLVM 10.0.0
