The release of OroPlatform 4.2.1 LTS has taken place, an open business application platform (BAP) developed by ORO. The platform is designed to simplify and accelerate the development of custom business applications. The OroPlatform code is written in PHP and is distributed under the MIT license.
The platform is built on a full-featured web infrastructure of Symfony and offers great flexibility, high code quality, and features such as:
- An intuitive user interface based on layouts and themes.
- Enhanced navigation and management via a menu.
- Multi-level configuration.
- Entity manager and entity fields.
- Management of users, roles, and permissions.
- REST API with JSON: standard API support.
- Reports, workflows, data auditing, and many other features.
Alongside the platform, sample applications developed using OroPlatform have been released: OroCommerce (a B2B eCommerce system for creating online stores, demo) and OroCRM (customer relationship management system, demo).
