The open release of the Tizen 5.5 M1 platform has taken place, providing developers with the Tizen core, a set of drivers, middleware subsystems, as well as APIs for native development, web, and TizenFX.
Key changes:
- A built-in speech recognition engine has been added to the STT (Speech To Text) engine.
- Support for the multi-assistant framework, allowing the simultaneous use of several voice assistants.
- The .NET Wearable UI (Tizen.Wearable.CircularUI) 1.2.0 extension has been added.
- An application for viewing animations in Lottie format has been added.
- Support for high resolution (4K/8K) has been added.
- A framework for updating the Web Engine has been added.
- The WRTjs framework has been added.
- Smack rules are now loaded from the security manager's database. All rule files have been removed.
- Memory management has been improved for long-lived processes (e.g., background applications).
- New types of notifications for displaying various information have been added.
- The Network Runtime and Neural Network Streamer frameworks have been added (currently in experimental version).
