The release of Plop Linux 23.1 is available, a live distribution featuring a collection of utilities for performing current tasks of system administrators, such as system recovery after a crash, backup, operating system restoration, security checks, and automation of routine tasks. The distribution offers two graphical environments to choose from — Fluxbox and Xfce. It supports booting from a nearby machine via PXE. The project is developed independently and is not based on the package repositories of other distributions. The full ISO image size is 2.9 GB (i486, x86_64, ARMv6l), with a minimal version at 400 MB (i486, x86_64).
In the new version, 183 package versions have been updated. Builds for ARM systems have been added. The FTP client Filezilla has been removed from the 32-bit builds (due to compilation issues with the current version of GCC). The ISO files now include the efiboot.img image for EFI. Build scripts have been updated.
