The release of Startwine-Launcher 422 has been published, developed to run applications and games built for the Windows platform on Linux systems. The main goal of developing StartWine-Launcher was to simplify the process of creating Wine prefixes for beginners—sets of libraries and Windows dependencies necessary for running Windows applications on Linux. The StartWine-Launcher code is written in Python and is distributed under the GPLv3 license. The interface is based on the GTK library.
Key Changes:
- The list of Wine versions has been updated.
- Libraries and drivers in the container have been updated.
- The installation script has been fixed.
- Added native Steam running in a container, along with the Steam-SW launch icon.
