Llama Group, a company that published the source code of the multimedia player Winamp in September, has removed the project's repository from GitHub. The reasons for the removal are not specified, but the repository previously revealed numerous leaks and violations of copyleft licenses. In particular, after the publication in the repository, code from a commercially sold SHOUTcast server, proprietary code, and a certificate for generating digital signatures were found, as well as several modified files from other projects distributed under the GPL license (Winamp cannot use GPL code without converting its own code to a GPL-compatible license).
