The Russian Football Union will hold a qualifying tournament for eFootball PES 2020 to form the national team for cyber football. The winners of the qualifiers will be able to participate in the UEFA eEURO 2020 championship, which will be organized by Konami and UEFA.
The qualifying competitions will take place in December 2019. The exact dates are not yet disclosed. Based on the results, four players will join the team, with two becoming key candidates for the cyber football tournament. It is likely that the other two will serve as substitute players.
The final stage of UEFA eEURO 2020 will take place from July 9 to 10, 2020. Sixteen top teams will compete in the tournament. The venue and prize pool have not yet been announced.
The eFootball PES 2020 simulator was released on September 10, 2019, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game received positive reviews from critics and users, scoring 84 points on Metacritic.
