NTC IT ROSA has released ROSA Fresh 13.3, built on the rosa 13 platform. The distribution is freely available and developed with community involvement. This release is aimed at a wide range of users. Downloadable builds are available with KDE 6 (4 GB), KDE 5 (4 GB), LXQt (3 GB), and GNOME (4 GB), as well as server builds (2 GB) and of virtual machines (947 MB). The repository includes packages for aarch64, e2kv4, i686, loongarch64, riscv64, and x86_64 architectures.
Among the changes:
- The Linux kernel has been updated to version 6.18 (previously 6.12; on older installations, the 6.12 kernel continues to be updated, while the new one can be installed as package task-kernel-6.18-generic).
- Support for laptops, video cards, WiFi and Bluetooth adapters, and network cards has been improved. The Mesa package has been updated to version 26.2.3. Additional Realtek drivers, linux-firmware updates, and Intel and AMD processor microcodes have been refreshed. The size of the linux-firmware package has been reduced by ~450 MB.
- All executable files and libraries are signed with IMA. The IMA mode, which prohibits running third-party executables, can be enabled with the command "sudo imactl enable."
- The KDE desktop has been updated to KDE Plasma 6.6, KDE Frameworks 6.29, and KDE Gear 26.04.3. The graphic editor Krita has been updated to 6.0.1. By default, the X11 session is still offered, but Wayland can also be chosen.
- The functionality for collapsible groups has been implemented. Improved content search within files and text search for RTF document formats has been provided.
- Label marking has been moved to the lower left corner of icons.

- The ability to uninstall programs via the "Remove Application" button in the context menu, displayed when right-clicking the icon in the application menu (Start), has been added.

- The function of microphone testing through the graphical interface has been implemented.

- Thanks to the optimization of delayed write cache settings, the synchronization time before ejecting USB drives and disks after writing large volumes of data has been reduced. In the default mount settings for drives, the noatime option is enabled to exclude unnecessary write operations. Changing file ownership from the graphical environment has been simplified.

- When connecting a printer or navigating to print-related sections in the application menu (Start) and in the configurator, the system-config-printer program is used instead of the built-in KDE interface for managing the print queue, which supports model-based printer search and tray operation.

- The btrfs-snapshot-gui program has been included for working with snapshots in BTRFS.

- The gnome-network-displays program is pre-installed for wireless screen casting using the Miracast protocol (for example, to a television).

- On touchscreen devices in the X11 session, the on-screen keyboard launches automatically. A graphic interface for configuring the auto-launch of the keyboard has been implemented. The icon for the on-screen keyboard in the tray has been improved. A different on-screen keyboard is offered for the Wayland session.

- A new graphical utility has been developed for logging into domain Active Directory, FreeIPA, and Dynamic Directory. A domain input section has been added to KDE settings. A mechanism for mounting CIFS network resources with Kerberos authentication after the user logs into the system has been implemented, along with a graphical utility for its configuration.

- The appearance of the calculator has been improved.

- The LibreOffice suite has been updated to version 26.2.4 and enhanced with some improvements that first appeared in the Rosa/MOS repository (changes were provided upstream where possible). Quick insertion of hyperlinks for selected text has been added. Rendering during scrolling in the print dialog preview has been accelerated. A ready-to-use style "Table with Borders" has been included in the style library. The print dialog in LibreOffice Calc has added options for selecting scaling mode, paper size and orientation, as well as the ability to quickly adjust margins.

- The basic package now includes the Filelight program for visualizing disk space usage.

- The Krecorder dictation program has been included.

- KDE settings provide keyword search in the system language (including in Russian).

- In the system library QtWebEngine and the Falkon browser, features for spell checking have been established. A dictionary package for QtWebEngine has been added.
- Firefox has implemented the use of the system certificate storage in addition to the built-in storage, allowing for support of certificates from the Ministry of Digital Development from the rootcerts-russia package. The pre-installed Chromium browser retains support for traffic encryption according to GOST using CryptoPro (a set of patches for chromium-gost is integrated).
- Development of builds with the GNOME desktop continues, offering Wayland as the default session, though the X11 session is also available. To maintain support for X11, the packages gnome-shell, mutter, and gdm remain at version 49, while GNOME applications have been updated to GNOME 50 or newer. In the rosa14 platform, only Wayland support will remain in GNOME.
- A feature for quickly removing programs from the context menu in GNOME has been added.

- The GNOME image has included the gdm-settings program for configuring the login screen.

- The Nautilus file manager now shows available disk space.

- An automatic offline update installation system, rosa-offline-updates, has been implemented, where packages are downloaded while the computer is operating and installed upon the next reboot. Support for rosa-offline-updates is integrated into the graphical update installation interface ‘Traffic Light’.
- The App Gallery has been updated, featuring more than 200 applications from the repository.
- Server packages have been updated, including Java OpenJDK 25, .NET 10, node.js 26, postgresql 18, patroni 4.1.5, vip-manager 5.0.0, odyssey 1.5.2, etcd 3.6.12, kubernetes 1.36, cri-tools 1.36, Docker 29.7.2, postfix 3.11, opensmtpd 7.9.0p0, Samba 4.23.11. PostgreSQL extensions pglogical, TimescaleDB, pg_store_plans, credcheck, and temporal_tables have been added.
- The virt-manager now allows for the grouping of virtual machines.
