Ruby version 3.0.0. According to the developers, performance has tripled (according to the Optcarrot test), thus achieving the goal set in 2016, described in the concept Ruby 3×3. To achieve this goal, the development focused on the following areas:
- Performance
- MJIT - reduction of time and size of the generated code
- Concurrency - ensuring parallelism
- Ractor - initial support for the new actor model
- Fiber Scheduler - fiber thread scheduler
- Typing - static code analysis
- RBS - a tool for type annotation
- TypeProf - a new type analyzer
