The Japanese corporation Sharp has unveiled an intriguing new product — the flagship smartphone Aquos R3 running on Android 9 Pie.
The device boasts a high-quality Pro IGZO display measuring 6.2 inches diagonally. The panel features a Quad HD+ resolution of 3120 × 1440 pixels.
Interestingly, the screen has two notches — one at the top and one at the bottom. The top teardrop notch houses a 16.3-megapixel selfie camera, while the bottom notch partially surrounds the home button. This design minimizes the width of the bezels.
The new model is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 855 processor (eight Kryo 485 cores clocked from 1.80 GHz to 2.84 GHz, Adreno 640 GPU, and Snapdragon X24 LTE modem), 6 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB flash storage.
The main camera features a dual module: it consists of sensors with 12.2 million and 20 million pixels. The device is equipped with Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0 adapters.
Power is supplied by a 3200 mAh battery. The dimensions are 156 × 74 × 8.9 mm, and it weighs 185 grams. The price of the Aquos R3 model has not yet been disclosed.
