One of the most impressive innovations showcased at the annual CES 2019 was the 219-inch Samsung The Wall display. Developers at Sony did not want to be left out and created their own giant Micro LED display, standing 17 feet (5.18 m) tall and 63 feet (19.20 m) wide. This fantastic display was unveiled at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas. The enormous display supports a resolution of 16K (15360 × 8640 pixels).

It was previously announced that Samsung plans to start shipping 8K resolution televisions, but the capabilities of modern televisions are still far from that. The main reason is that the content being created by companies does not even reach 4K quality, let alone higher resolutions.
Experts believe that humanity is just beginning to approach 8K televisions in this decade and it will be quite some time before technology allows the consumer market to cross that threshold. This means that for a long time, displays with 16K resolution support will be used exclusively by the corporate sector.
The colossal 16K display allows for truly impressive and captivating images to be transmitted. Of course, much will depend on the content creators. To demonstrate the capabilities of the showcased Sony panel, they had to create their own 16K format content. Besides the lack of content, one should not forget about the modular design of such displays. Upon close inspection, seams can be seen at the junctions of multiple panels.
