Last week, Microsoft officially , announced that the next version of its desktop OS will be called Windows 10 November 2019 Update. And now about the release timeline.
It is reported that the new version will be released in November, specifically on the 12th. The rollout of the update will occur in stages. The patch will be offered to everyone using Windows 10 May 2019 Update or older versions. It’s clear that the full distribution of version 1909 will take at least a couple of weeks, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t receive an update notification on November 12.
On the same day, a traditional patch is expected which is released monthly on Tuesdays and includes security updates. The build will be numbered 18363.418. Apparently, this designation corresponds to the final version.
As noted, the new build will receive a number of improvements, although they will be more evolutionary. In particular, updates will no longer be installed forcibly in the background. In 1909, there will be a 'Download and install now' button that allows for manual installation.
Improvements are also promised , the search system, performance in single-threaded computations, and reduced 'hunger' when operating on battery power. Overall, this update is expected to serve as a kind of Service Pack, rather than a full update. More significant changes, including functionality improvements, are likely to be introduced in 2020, when the 20H1 build is released.
