On September 22, the release of version 24.3 of the popular free planetarium took place. Stellarium, visualizing the realistic night sky as if you were looking at it with the naked eye, through binoculars or a telescope.
List of major changes:
- added the ability to batch draw markers for asteroids and comets;
- added small circles as additional markers for small bodies;
- added multithreaded calculations of the positions of Solar System bodies;
- added a tooltip for the new option in the AstroCalc/Ephemeris tool;
- added the ability to use a wider range of dates in AstroCalc tools;
- added a reddish hue to the landscape at sunset;
- added interrupt signals for the LX200 and NexStar telescopes;
- added links to multi-opposition unnumbered objects and single-opposition objects in the Solar System editing plugin bookmarks;
- added information about the total number of candidates for addition in the Solar System editing plugin;
- added the ability to hide the constellation drawing button;
- added contextual support for exoplanet detection methods and exoplanet classes;
- added comments to tooltips;
- updated catalogs of celestial objects;
- many bugs fixed.
