Tails is a privacy-focused and anonymous live system that boots from a flash drive. All connections are routed through TOR!
This release addresses many vulnerabilities.
What has changed?
- The LibreOffice Math component has been removed, but you can still install it using the option additional software
- Bookmarks have been removed from the Tor browser.
- Pre-created i2p and IRC accounts in Pidgin have been removed.
- The Tor browser has been updated to version 8.5.5.
- Linux has been updated to version 4.19.37-5+deb10u2 with the fix for yet another vulnerability.
- Many packages in the firmware have been updated. This should improve support for new hardware. (Graphics, Wi-Fi, etc.)
Fixes
- Fix for opening the persistent storage of another Tails USB through the file manager.
- Fix for broadcasting in additional software.
- The security level indicator has been removed from the unsafe browser.
