Telegram has begun testing a P2PL (peer-to-peer login) program, under which users are offered a Telegram Premium subscription in exchange for a package of SMS messages, reports Kommersant. According to Telegram Info, the first offer went to users in Indonesia. Russian users are also being offered the right to send 150 SMS messages per month from their phones in exchange for a Telegram Premium subscription. Telecom operators oppose this.
