We decided to explore which ICOs have raised the most funds and what has happened to them at the moment.

The top three are led by , Telegram Open Network, and with a significant lead over the others. Moreover, these are the only projects that raised over a billion during their ICO.
EOS — a blockchain platform for decentralized applications and business. The team conducted the ICO over 11 months, raising over $4 billion. Major venture funds and ordinary people invested in the project. In June 2018, the project launched its own platform and is actively developing it. A year later, the project's CTO, Daniel Larimer, announced that a social network would be created based on EOS to boost the project’s mass adoption within society.
Telegram Open Network (TON) — one of the most secretive ICO projects in history, held 2 stages of ICO and managed to raise $850 million during each. The minimum participation threshold was $10 million. Currently, the project is in development and promises to create a new internet with many integrated services and functionalities.
UNUS SED LEO — the token of the Bitfinex exchange, built on the Ethereum platform and serving as a utility token. The ICO was held at the beginning of May, and all the supply was purchased during the pre-sale. The exchange token is actively used and consistently ranks in the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
Leaders in growth
The clear leader in growth relative to ICO fundraising has been the project . Having raised $70 million in June 2017, the project grew 17 times in just 2 years when evaluated by market capitalization. Furthermore, during winter, this figure reached as high as 80 times, when Tron ranked 6th in the overall cryptocurrency rankings.
TRON — another blockchain platform competing with Ethereum. In June 2018, it launched its mainnet and achieved 2 million transactions per day within just 6 months, second only to EOS. Tron is actively developing; in January 2019, it was announced that it acquired one of the largest torrent companies with more than 100 million users — BitTorrent.
Tezos and Gatechain Token occupy the 2nd and 3rd positions in growth, increasing 3.5 and 2 times respectively.
is one of the most well-known projects that conducted an ICO. $232 million was raised in just 9 minutes, which is currently an absolute record. However, conflicts arose within the team, leading to a halt in development. It wasn't until six months later that all issues were resolved, and in August 2018, Tezos launched its own blockchain platform.
Gatechain Token is a relatively young token, the ICO of which was held in spring 2019. This token is an exchange token on the Gate.io trading platform. Currently, it ranks 39th in market capitalization among all cryptocurrencies.

Dead project
The cryptocurrency Dotcoin was an exchange token for the popular New Zealand exchange Cryptopia. However, in spring, the founder of the exchange disappeared, taking all the keys to the cryptocurrency wallets with him. Subsequently, Cryptopia announced its liquidation, resulting in the disappearance of the Dotcoin token.
