Google has scheduled the launch of the beta version of Android 11 for June 1, with a formal event dedicated to this happening online on June 3, as the traditional I/O conference has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will be streamed at 6:00 PM Moscow time.
Google will also publish 12 reports outlining the features of the new operating system, which will cover core topics such as innovations in the user interface. Additionally, information for developers and details about updates in the Google Play ecosystem will be provided.
There's also a chance that a budget smartphone, the Google Pixel 4a, will be showcased during the event, although some unofficial sources report that the release of the long-awaited device has been postponed to mid-July. It is worth noting that the new budget Pixel will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset and will serve as a key competitor to the Apple iPhone SE, which was introduced last month.
According to preliminary data, the price of the new smartphone will start at $349 for the version with a 64 GB storage capacity.
