The Unified Register of Notifications on the Characteristics of Cryptographic Means and Products Containing Them of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has information about two new smart speakers from Yandex.
Recall that the Russian IT giant introduced its first smart speaker, the Yandex.Station, at the end of May last year. The device uses the intelligent voice assistant Alice. Users can request various information, inquire about the weather, traffic conditions, etc. The speaker plays music, finds movies, cartoons, series, and clips, displaying them on a TV. Price — 9990 rubles.
The new smart speakers are named Yandex.Station Plus (model YNDX-0003) and Yandex.Station Mini (model YNDX-0004). It is clear that the first version will feature expanded functionality, while the second will be more compact.
The manufacturer of the products is indicated as Yandex Services AG, registered at Werftestrasse 4, 6005 Lucerne, Switzerland. The publication date of the notifications is April 29, 2019.
Thus, very soon the original Yandex.Station may have two companions. Yandex, however, has yet to comment on this matter.
