Popular ad-blocking extension uBlock Origin from the list of available extensions for the Microsoft Edge browser. This specifically refers to the application store for the Redmond web browser.
Currently, there are two ways to resolve the issue. The first involves installing the extension from , as they are compatible with Microsoft Edge. The second option suggests visiting directly and clicking the Get button to install the plugin. The extension's developer, Nick Rolls, has already acknowledged the issue and reached out to Microsoft to resolve the glitch.
It is not yet clarified why uBlock Origin has disappeared from the store. It could be a simple glitch, or perhaps Google intervened, much hope of reducing the audience of users utilizing ad blockers.
Let's recall that earlier in Microsoft Edge many features that are already implemented in other browsers. For instance, there is a dark theme and an integrated translator. While the first is no surprise to anyone, the latter is quite interesting, considering that this feature is built into the web browser itself and does not require additional extensions.
Also, it's worth noting that previously Microsoft released the first available build of the program for macOS. No information has been provided yet regarding a version for Linux, and there is still no option for Windows 7/8/8.1. However, in the latter case, a release is expected, presumably after the full beta version is available or shortly before the release set for this year.
