Google may add support for a universal cross-platform clipboard in Chrome, allowing users to sync content across all platforms. In other words, this will enable copying a URL on one device and accessing it on another.
This could be useful for moving a link from a computer to a smartphone or vice versa. Of course, all of this works through a Google account. However, it seems the feature will not sync everything indiscriminately, but only selected data.
Currently, it is unclear when this new feature will be available or if it will be accepted in a release at all. One can only assume it will occur in the next major update of Google Chrome.
In addition to this, the new Google Chrome will introduce a system to protect against dangerous downloads. So far, this feature is available as part of the Advanced Protection program for enhanced security and is intended for a fairly small group of users, including journalists, businesspeople, politicians, and activists.
It should also be noted that an early build of Chrome Canary includes the ability to forcibly 'darken' any website in different modes. Although this currently works like a simple color inversion with variations, and applying settings requires a browser restart, the idea itself seems intriguing.
