The decision was made after yet another user attempted to draw attention to the fact that Mozilla is spending significant resources on questionable functionalities, such as integrating AI tools into the browser, while ignoring the genuinely important tab grouping feature, which around 3000 users voted for and which leads on the Firefox idea collection website. It is noted that competing browsers such as Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi have long supported tab grouping, giving them a significant competitive advantage.
