The OpenBSD-current codebase, which will be used for OpenBSD 7.9 this spring, has been updated to support guest operation in Apple Hypervisor-based virtualization systems. OpenBSD builds for the arm64 architecture can be used in virtual machines in macOS On hardware with Apple Silicon ARM chips. The changes made are related to ensuring synchronization of framebuffer content transfer to the host system in the viogpu virtio driver and adding the ability to obtain MTU information from the hypervisor to the if_vio virtual network interface.
