On March 7, Veusz 3.2 was released — a graphical interface application designed to present scientific data in the form of 2D and 3D graphs for publication preparation.
This release includes the following improvements:
- a new drawing mode for 3D graphs has been added within the 'block' instead of rendering the bitmap scene;
- for the key widget, an option widget for setting the order of elements has been added;
- the data export dialog now uses multiple threads;
- compatibility issues with Python 3.9 have been fixed.
Minor changes include:
- the display of a dialog box with a notification of a 'thrown' exception, if it occurred outside the main thread;
- a description has been added for the desktop file in Brazilian Portuguese;
- by default, the application is launched using Python 3.
Fixed:
- issues related to displaying icons in the documentation;
- an error that occurred when a positive position was specified for the bar chart and then removed;
- 'all files' are now displayed in the import dialog on request;
- an error displaying the overview icon in the export dialog;
- a styles tab error for the polynomial drawing widget;
- an error displaying incorrect messages about escape sequences;
- an error in setting a parametric date when using a non-English locale.
