An update has been released for the video2midi utility designed to recreate MIDI files from Synthesia videos and similar sources. The utility allows for the recreation of multi-channel MIDI files from any video featuring a virtual MIDI keyboard.
Key changes in version 0.2
- The graphical interface has been redesigned.
- New keys and their modifiers have been added.
- Color detection has been added upon mouse click.
- The frame transition in OpenCV has been revamped from direct frame referencing to time in milliseconds (due to issues with OpenCV's behavior in MPEG format).
- The video scaling function has been reworked; the resize variable scales the window and video to the values specified in the variables 'resize_width' and 'resize_height', defaulting to 1280×720.
