Vifm is a console file manager with Vim-like modal controls and
some ideas borrowed from the email client mutt.
This version expands support for managing removable devices, adds
some new display capabilities, combines two separate
Vim plugins into one, and introduces a number of minor improvements.
Key Changes:
- added a file preview in the right
- added a macro for outputting to the terminal bypassing libcurses, making it
possible to use Sixel graphics
and similar; - added support for udisks2 in the vifm-media script (included in the distribution
device interaction script) and a version of the script for OS X; - the code has been updated to remove the modest limitation of 256 color pairs;
- the separate Vim plugin neovim-vifm has been merged with
the main one; - various improvements to the removable device management menu (:media);
- performance improvements in several usage scenarios (previewing the same file, a large number of unhighlighted files with many
highlight groups, unnecessary screen redraws).
