Vivaldi 7.0 with a new design

Today, the stable release of the new Vivaldi 7.0 browser for desktops has been announced.

In the list of changes:

• New interface design — the display of tabs and controls has been completely redesigned, with a new set of default icons.

• Widget panel — a new tab on the Speed Dial that houses the date/time, notes, bookmarks, stickers, calendar, and more. Users can also add websites as widgets. Technical guidelines for creating custom widgets have been published — https://help.vivaldi.com/developers/webpage-widgets/

• The ability to create folders in the news feed client has been added.

• A pop-up button has appeared in the email, allowing users to quickly access their latest received emails.

• Synchronization has been revamped — it now works in real time. This feature is currently only available on desktop versions; a mobile release will follow shortly.

• Web panels can now be synchronized — they will appear on another device in the web panels column under the Windows tab. Users can drag this element to the sidebar to restore the familiar layout of the web panel.

• Developers also reminded users that by using the built-in news feed client, they can watch YouTube videos ad-free.

In total, around 120 improvements have been made in the new version.
