On the social network VKontakte, along with other platforms, the single DEUTSCHLAND by the band Rammstein premiered. Thus, the popular German rock group made its statement after years of silence. This single is the first track from their upcoming full album.
Additionally, 9 iconic albums by the German collective have been published on VKontakte and the music service BOOM. In other words, all Rammstein's studio recordings, as well as two live albums and one compilation, are now available to users. The list includes:
- Herzeleid;
- Sehnsucht;
- Mutter;
- Reise, Reise;
- Rosenrot;
- LIEBE IST FÜR ALLE DA;
- Live aus Berlin;
- PARIS (LIVE);
- Made in Germany (1995 – 2011).
"The release of the complete collection of Rammstein's studio albums is a significant event for the musical platform VKontakte. In surveys, our users often mentioned the lack of albums by the German band. So, we are pleased that now, alongside the premiere single DEUTSCHLAND, fans can enjoy all the iconic hits of Rammstein on VKontakte and BOOM," said Roman Bogaoutov, head of VK's music service promotion.
The music video can be viewed below. It is noteworthy that it gathered about 500,000 views in just half an hour.
While the title of the new album has not yet been announced, the release date is already known — May 17, 2019. So the wait is not long.
Interestingly, the video has already elicited mixed reactions in Germany. The fact is that in the video, the band members appear as concentration camp prisoners, which has drawn negative feedback from many.
