Work has also resumed on utilizing the Skia library in the app_server for 2D graphics rendering, which will help fix many long-standing issues in the app_server. One of the main advantages of the Skia engine is its support for GPU rendering, eliminating the need to implement integration with video drivers. Moreover, Skia can handle modern vector graphics, as used in the Web, and can render text for languages written right-to-left, such as Arabic.
