The message states that work on the already completed (according to the wiki) release of CentOS 8.0 is currently on hold due to , the release of CentOS 7.7 is being prepared and, since the 7.x branch is already used by the majority of users who are awaiting updates, the priority will be given to the release of CentOS 7.7, after which work on CentOS 8.0 will continue. In response to criticism regarding the delay of the release, the leader of CentOS stated , that the distribution is developed by only three developers, which forces them to shift priorities in favor of updating the more in-demand branch.
