On April 30, a minor update was released for the CudaText text editor.
The editor is written in Free Pascal, supports extensions in Python, and has several features borrowed from Sublime Text. On the project wiki (freepascal.org), the advantages, disadvantages, and features of the project compared to Sublime Text and VSCode are listed.
In this version:
- A rule for strikethrough text in the Markdown lexer has been fixed;
- errors in the HTML and CSS lexers have been corrected;
- The API for extensions now allows creating tiny plugins;
- The API for extensions now allows handling the ‘…’ button in the search dialog.
Builds are available for Linux, Windows, and macOS (older versions are also available for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, DragonFlyBSD, Solaris, and Haiku).
The name of the editor comes from the Serbian word meaning 'miracle' and is not related to CUDA technology.
To support users, the project has a forum in Russian and English languages.
