The release of 4MLinux 47.0 is available, a minimalist user distribution that is not a fork of other projects and uses a graphical environment based on the JWM window manager. 4MLinux can be used both as a Live environment for playing multimedia files and solving user tasks, as well as a system for recovery from failures and a platform for running LAMP servers (Linux, Apache, MariaDB, and PHP). Live images (x86_64, 1.5 GB) with a graphical environment and a stripped-down console build (x86_64, 16.6 MB) are prepared for download.
In the new version:
- Support for installing 4MLinux on virtual block devices has been added. KVM (\/dev\/vda1).

- The basic package includes: the CD/DVD recording application GNOME CD Master (a wrapper over cdrdao), a diagram drawing program Dia, the image viewer GLiv, the emulator for 8-bit computers XRoar, and console utilities for playing MIDI music.
- The GamePack bundle includes the puzzle Gnubik and the board game GNU Backgammon.
- Support for 552 obsolete image formats has been implemented using the RECOIL (Retro Computer Image Library) library.
